Update!
Hey kids!

Just popping in to say that I'm still alive and have been on the road fairly consistently since last September.

I'm back in Toronto and looking to get back to finishing up some orders and laying low until I can revamp and re-introduce Totally Waisted! It has been quite and exciting year and I look forward to what this year will bring.

Hi Kate-

Remember when I said I was getting married? And you suggested yourself as a source for corsetry and I declined? Well . . . I was wondering, if, when you're more back in sewing mode from circus mode, if you'd be able to do a simple dress for me. I'm going bonkers trying to find something I like. I think your style is amazing, and at this point I'd looove to pay you to take the annoyance out of my hands.

I could give you a description of what I want, including my budget, and I'd pay you up front whatever you think is reasonable for a quote and a sketch. That way if either I decide I don't like it (unlikely) or the quote ends up being beyond my means (this is what I'm a little worried about- the economy and all), your time is paid for. I'd feel really, really awful if I put you out at all.

What do you think? Can we communicate further?

Dear Kate,
I feel horrible about how the last posts on corsetry has been, especially the one concerning a beautiful corset from you.
I have posted to express my concerns about the flaming of corsetiere's without cause or even thinking.
I hope this may also help you, because a corsetiere/seamstress anybody living by their needle, should have the right to solve their problems with clients in private and have right to defend themselves.
As much as a client has the right to express a concern.

Thanks very much for the kind words and for sticking up for me. I took some time to myself, laid low and am very happy to announce I am back to taking orders and showing off what I've been up to.

The support from the communities has been awesome, and really, the work speaks for itself visually. You certainly can't argue against photos! ;)

Glad this hasn't been a reason for you to disapear from the world, we have lost many good corsetiere's this way!
