Here is a special piece; it's a reproduction made from a dupioni that is hell to photograph; it's a silver cross-woven with green to be Robin's Egg blue. In person, it's just stunning, but I am unable to do justice to it with my ghetto photo setup.

The lace trim is very special to my client; it is antique Edwardian curtain lace made by her family. I was thrilled to be able to work with it. I added a distressed bow in the front; it is made by making a traditional ribbon bow out of silk dupioni which I hand shredded. I hope it achieves the effect I was going for!

I am also proud of how the flossing turned out; originally I was going to use both brown and ivory silk thread, but the brown became too over-powering, so I opted for simply ivory instead.

The corset has a 20" waist fully closed, sits low on the hips and contains 26 spring steel flats, staytape, lined in coutil., etc. Everything a good Totally Waisted! reproduction is made from.

Here are some craptastic pix!

Sigh. Too bad this colour is not working. It's not even close to the beauty of this colour combination.

I hope she likes it, and I get better shots!
